TEHRAN, Oct 3 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) - Afghanistan's Northern Alliance (NA), which has been fighting against the ruling Taliban, is claiming that Osama bin Laden has changed his face through plastic surgery to frustrate a massive hunt launched by U.S. and British forces to arrest him.
Bin Laden is still in Afghanistan with a new face and identity, an NA official told the Iranian newspaper, Intekhab, in an interview at Pungsher Valley, in northern Afghanistan.
Various plastic surgery experts trickled into Afghanistan from Chaman, a small Pakistani town, which borders Afghanistan some 250 kilometers from Kandahar, the official, who could not tell what the nationalities of the plastic surgeons were, claimed.
"They might be Arabs or Iranians," he said.
"But we have concrete reports that they were hired on heavy expenses," he added.
"They have totally changed bin Laden's looks," he said, adding that, "this has been done to avoid his arrest by U.S. and British forces."
"We are looking for his current picture, but unfortunately we have not succeeded so far," the NA official said.
"As soon as we find his [bin Laden's] current photograph, we will provide it to the international media," he maintained.
The U.S. claims that bin Laden masterminded the September 11th attacks in Washington and New York, but have yet to release any tangible evidence to prove his involvement in the attacks.

There would be no need to harm any of them, beyond obtaining bloods samples and/or cheek scrappings and hair roots. They could be returned unharmed to their lairs with a lollipop, a fluorescent orange band-aid, and a button shaped like a drop of bloood (all courtesy of the Red Cross).....
I was thinging more along the lines of the one with the Red Nose and crooked finger. Currently wondering the streets of Manhattan trying to get people to stop and talk to him.
Given that they are about the same height, I think bin Laden has kidnapped Michael Jordan and altered his own appearance to look like Mike. The stories about Michael's play being not up to his standards were fed to the media to explain why bin Laden sucks as a basketball player.
The grand plan? Bin Laden will infect himself with smallpox. Think of it -- all those cities, all those reporters at close range, all those people in those packed arenas. What better way to spread the disease! And when bin Laden finally succumbs, he will be a martyr to his cause, which will spur even more terror!
OK, I leave it to some enterprising Freeper to create a morph of bin Laden's face to Michael Jordan's...
