Incredible how amazingly "right-on" Freepers were right from the first few minutes! I was too stunned to log on ... I was glued to the TV set!

It is still so vivid in my mind. I just read these threads with my sons and we noticed the accuracy of some of the Freeper's comments. Haunting is how my 15 yo described these threads. I was unable to log on due to server problems that day and I can remember being frustrated because I knew that I wsn't getting up to the minute news because of it. I will never forget standing in my living room with my husband and my aunt and saying, as the second plane hit, "We are under attack. God damn those Islamic fanatics." It was almost a reflex statement and my aunt still couldn't process the thought that I may have been right. As the day unfolded she realized that our beloved America had changed. We wept and we prayed. I will never forget praying so fervently for Bush as he headed back to DC. Oh, how I prayed for his safety. I will never ever forget the sick feeling that went through me. I will never forget walking into Walmart to buy bullets the eerie silence in that HUGE store. No one was speaking, some were listening to the news on the speakers and some were quietly crying. Everything seemed so silent in town. Nowhere near as much traffic on the streets. God please help us to never forget and to be, from this point on, ever so diligent.
