Well, I've seen so many reasons ( Perot, vote fraud [undetected back then], the "read my lips" thing....) but I really think the fact that 90% of the press, and likely 90% of the entertainment industry ( they tell people what's cool, what's desirable to feel, etc. ) were madly in love with the clintons was a major reason. Even now most of 'em love the Fraud- look at how they are drooling over Enron being "bigger than Whitewater." It's obscene.
