I too would like more diversity on the radio, but I realize that I'm in a minority. People who are interested in music enough to want variety are probably listening to CDs or government-sponsored NPR anyway. Radio stations are in business to make money, not to broaden people's musical tastes. If they can make more money playing the same old Boston-Skynyrd-REO, they will.

I'd like to be able to set up ZeugmaRadio and play my MP3 files from my hard disk. I've got about 15GB of it now, most of which I ripped right from my own CDs. When I have Xmms (a linux winamp clone) running on random play, you never know what will come up next. It might be classical, country, bluegrass, blues, swing, R&R, or even stuff that defies musical classification. I just plain like music, and would be happy to share. :-)
