As a Lutheran, I would hope that you are founded enough on the Word to recognize a false prophet and a false god when you see one. Your comments tend toward Unitarianism.

The Muslim "Allah" is not God the Father. The Muslim "Allah" is not the Holy Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit - "one God in 3 persons and 3 persons in one God" from the Athanasian Creed). Islam strictly and overtly denies the Trinity. Islam does not teach Christ as the Lord and Savior:

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. 2 John 1:9-11

Based on this passage alone, Islam is a false religion. The Muslim Allah is a false god. There is no salvation in Islam, only eternal damnation. Islam is a religion of work righteousness - you must lead a holy and pious life to earn your "salvation". Islam denies the free and full atonement for our sins won through Christ's death and resurrection.

Islam is a false religion that worships a false god - rank idolatry in God's eyes.

A Lutheran

Sir, I am not the one accepting Allah as my god. Islam is not my religion. I am also not a Unitarian, thank you very much. But as a person who is Lutheran and does believe in God, that does not prevent me (I hope) from trying to understand the religion of another person (in this case Islam). I am not trying to convert to Islam and I really don't think that you are reflecting our religion well by presenting your argument in a way that would suggest my honest attempt to understand Islam makes me less Lutheran. If that were true, then I would not want to be a Lutheran because I believe that it would show a disregard and disrespect for the truth of another human being. Do you really believe that you must nurture a hatred toward Islam in order to be true to your religion? I don't.
