Happy Thanksgiving Free Republic!!!
Our Heart!
| All of Us!

This may appear to be a bit early, but some of us will be travelling, perhaps out of touch with everyone here. Some with long roads to travel, others, shorter time spent.
This computer thing of ours, has allowed the meeting of diversified geographics, differing opinions, and instantaneous reflections of our regional tastes, to form immediate bonds across a country so large and wonderful.
Some of us could only dream of visiting other parts of this great country...yet because of FR...we have...sometimes,... defending opinions other than our own, because we believe in what was set down over two hundred years ago.
Whether you are Christian Conservative, a person of The Jewish Faith, a Catholic, an Agnostic, an Atheist...and yes..a Muslim.........we have been allowed this greatest of freedoms....to congregate here at Free Republic.
We have, and will continue to debate, disagree, partake in humorous repartee, and on ocassion throw things at our monitors.
Truly, my friends, we are one of heart, one of mind, one of republic.
It is now that time of year...we should wish each other a Happy Thanksgiving!

Two egreetings.com Thanksgiving e-cards I thought were e-xpressive for my FRiends at Free Republic.
Fun times
Reflective gratitude
Pick a card, any card...actually, in most cases, one is probably more appropriate than the other in the context that we know one another, but, I just thought they both have meaning. : )
(I wasn't quite sure how to just do the cards to FR, so, please just read the main messages of the cards and look at the pretty pictures. : ))
Free Republic is a wonderful family of FRiends (99.9% of the time...hey, you know there's always 1 in every crowd, or, that's what THEY say - hmm...note: check source before posting on FR...LOL). The intelligence, and knowledge, and creativity, and fun brought to the Forum by FReepers in the defense of America's ideals is awesome.
FReverybody, wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, FRe-xcellent American Thanksgiving. FRegards.
Thank you Jim sincerely for FREE REPUBLIC. : )

You're very welcome! We still have half a loaf of Italian bread sitting on our kitchen counter, and if it weren't for the fact that we are ALREADY stuffed...

My good friends -- especially those I have forgotten to flag! -- Happy Thanksgiving to you all. You're as busy as I am, but you are all in my thoughts. Hopefully I'll be free tomorrow.......I am having MAJOR politico withdrawal! (Don't let anything "big" happen until we can all get back to FULL attention!)

I pray that your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as ours was. Thanks for being the friends you are. I'm so thankful for this forum, our safe haven in these scary times. May God continue to bless you all during the upcoming Christmas and Hannukah season!!!! (I apologize to ALL I've missed here...!!)

This is a great place.........and you all would be so proud..........I didn't get in ONE SINGLE POLITICAL ARGUMENT this year.......I was on my best behavior....or they were one........LOL.
However, I did serve my father-in-law his iced tea in a George Bush glass......just to see the look on his face! He even laughed.......and they all think Bush is doing a great job!
All in all, lots of things to be thankful this year......and high at the top of the liste if the people right here.......all of them!

It sounds as if you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! So did we. Lots of great food and company. (And it looks as if you are still alive, BG. How was the corn pudding?)

I am having MAJOR politico withdrawal! There could be worse things...we had the LIBERAL side of the family over....I love them, but the political discussions make me crazy.
We did agree that the Patriot Act was a big problem....

Thank you for your service in Viet Nam. I trust your traditional dinner today was better than the Turkey loaf the Marines served you!
Just wanted to let you know, you were appreciated for the sacrifices you made for us!
To: Utah Girl
He LIVED!!!!! I made something new, he ate it, and he's still living to tell about it!!!!!
It was a quiet day, but boy, did the little guy have fun. I passed the mantel of setting the table down to him, now that my son isn't living here any longer. Had Martha Stewart seen that table she would have run away screaming. But was one little boy PROUD of the variety of place mats & napkins he had out. Not to mention the fact that the WHOLE table was covered with placemats. I'm talking covered. Some flipped one way, some the other. Some upside down, some not. Cute, cute, cute.
To: Brad's Gramma
That's so sweet. Somehow I think Martha would have been one of those mothers who corrected their children into doing everything absolutely perfect. Your table sounds wonderful.
To: COB1
Beautiful picture dear Cob1! Hope you had a lovely day and that the turkey didn't try to bite you back! One never knows with you! :)
To all of my fellow Freepers, Hope this day found all of you surrounded by those you love and full of thanksgiving for all you have been blessed with!
We are all blessed to have this forum where we can meet, agree, disagree, and sometimes just be entertained. But when the chips are down, we are all one family, and I am thankful for each of you.

LOL! Love your poem, and unfortunately, it is so appropriate for how I feel right now! I suddenly find myself scared to death of pins!
( Think about it, you will figure it out!)
