Gee, and I thought the brain damage came BEFORE the tongue-piercing. Shows what I know.

Not like her brain was a bright one to begin with. She was a drug abuser and tongue piercer - who would say to that, "What a brain!"

Gee, and I thought the brain damage came BEFORE the tongue-piercing. Shows what I know.I think you are correct.
A person who willingly puts unneeded holes in their body, needs some help.

I once heard of an asian tattoo artist who, when asked how he could write such despicable things upon people's bodies, replied:
"First tattoo on mind...then on body."

I was just going to post the same thing. I thought you would need to have brain damage BEFORE the piercing, as I cannot imagine a rational, sane person submitting to such mutilation.
I was at TOWER RECORDS the other day buying some CDs, and the clerk that processed my sale had not only a tongue piercing, but had metal on his lips, nose and eyebrows as well. He must be a joy when he goes through a metal detector at the airport. I hope he likes his job at TOWER RECORDS because he looked like a total freak and would probably never be able to get a job anyplace else.

...the brain damage came BEFORE the tongue-piercing... Here's a link (page or so with small pictures) to the guy that tamped some dynamite a bit too hard - and lived to tell about it. Well, not sure if he remembered it, but it was a body piercing that affected the brain.

I think the Harvard Medical School has the object of interest.
