I believe Linda does not own the home in Virginia but is stayign there to avoid the public limelight. I I recall correctly, the home in Columbia, MD (a few miles from my home) is the only home she owns.
That makes sense, but I wonder if the "public limelight" thingy is something of her own grand design.
