huge explosions!!
Who are you trying to kid?
You are the one who threatened him with banishment.
When "criticism" reaches the level of obsession that some have with it (like yourself) it gets old. And from petty insults which you sometimes make (like when you referred to a poster looking for a burning bush in a bowl of shredded wheat), to slurs like comparing Christians to the Taliban, people tend to get fed up. The banning in question was quite justified.
My intent is not to convert anyone to anything.
I discuss, in order to to see how my beliefs withstand scruitiny, in order to better understand and defend them myself.
The participants of these conversations are for the most part men of good will, and I have learned much from them. I can assure you, my motives are entirely selfish.
There may come time when circumstances flip your world upside down. We all gotta take our lumps sometime, you know. Your condition may become so unbearable that you will cry out to the Lord and if or when you do, you will see how loving and forgiving He really is.
Then don't participate. Seems pretty simple to me.
Wow...and I thought Libertarians only knew everything there was ever to know about everything. And now I find out one of them can read my emotions! We are doomed...we are doomed...
No, it doesn't.
I am an atheist because nobody can present any verifiable evidence to support the existance of any god(s) they assert exist, ergo, there is no compelling reason to believe any god(s) exist.
What about Clinton?
She's not through yet...
This coming from you?
You can't possibly be serious.
I take 100 for every one I even think of dishing out.
God judges us on what we know, and ONLY on what we know.
Some will say that every man will somehow have heard the good news before they die, others, like me think that they are either given a chance to accept Him after death or that God just knows their heart and if they would have accepted Him had they been given a chance. No one but God really knows. But the one thing I can say with certainty is that the outcome will be absolutely just.
You betcha.
The Bible is actually very clear about this, as well.
The Bible tells us that, not only is every man given abundant proof throughout his entire life, and on a daily basis, of the existence of God (i.e. you, me, birth, love, eyes, taste buds, every miracle we receive as daily gifts from God for our existence) to the point where disbelief in Him who created all this becomes a deliberate choice of rebelliousness against Him...
We are also promised by scripture that there will be "an outpouring of God's Holy Spirit to the four corners of the earth..." so that none who die from this life will be allowed to do so without first having been given the chance to accept Christ.
God is a loving, just and perfect being, but God also did what He did in Noah's time, in Sodom and Gamorrah, etc.
His wish is that none shall die, and that all are saved, but He gave us free will. The choice is ours.
It would seem even simpler for you to stay on topic. You disrupt threads when you do this. I was hoping to read about the airstrikes, not OWK's quest for spiritual enlightenment.
So it is possible then, to enter the kingdom of heaven, without accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior?
Please.... I didn't start this line of discussion.
I joined it, already in progress.
