I'll wager that there is a little voice deep down inside you that says, "Wait, are you sure? Shouldn't we a least hedge our bet and say we're agnostic or something?"

So it is possible then, to enter the kingdom of heaven, without accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior? Not technically, because ultimately, they DO accept Him.
To: OWK
Way to dodge the question. Brilliantly done.

I'll wager that there is a little voice deep down inside you that says, "Wait, are you sure? Shouldn't we a least hedge our bet and say we're agnostic or something?" Can't speak for him, But I don't really put a whole lot of worry into the label.
I would be prefectly willing to embrace evidence of God if I were to encounter it, so if that makes me an agnostic, then feel free to think of me as such.

I'll wager that there is a little voice deep down inside you that says, "Wait, are you sure? Shouldn't we a least hedge our bet and say we're agnostic or something?" You'ld lose that wager!

"You are the one who threatened him with banishment." His case and yours bear a dire resemblance, though on two very different levels. Nonetheless, I can see why you empathize with him so.
I warned him of the perils of failing to obey the rules on FreeRepublic. He chose to ignore them, and then the moderator (not me) apparently dealt with him.
Moral of the story: It's best not to tempt the Moderator...

Okay, I'd lose the wager but, at least I'm not betting my soul on the outcome.

Any word of what they are bombing?
Police stations.
To: OWK
and then roast your butt on a spit for all eternity for being unlucky enough to be born there. Doesn't sound like a loving God to me.
You are absolutely correct, OWK. Because that isnt what is going to occur.
No one is going to roast, there is no literal fire and its funny that most Christians believe in a "hell" that doesnt even exist. Dont get me wrong, though I DO believe that God has a punishment that will fit the crime.
To: Gargantua

What happens next is that the Libertarians start blaming US policy.

"I would be prefectly willing to embrace evidence of God if I were to encounter it..." But... when you are surrounded with it all day long, on a daily basis, it somehow just "eludes" you??!!!
NOW who's piling it deep? You're funny.
To: Gargantua
If God wishes that none shall die, and that all are saved, wouldn't it be safe to say that He will get what He wants? Or isn't He GOD?

You are absolutely correct, OWK. Because that isnt what is going to occur. The fire and brimstone notwithstanding, the actual point was that a truly benevolent and loving God could not and would not punish his creation, for actions (or lack of actions) they could not control. (or for failure to fulfill requirements they had no knowledge of)

Are you suggesting that I'm really a believer, but I'm just yanking your chain for the fun of it?

But there is a lake that burns with fire and brimstone. Look up brimstone in the greek. You will be surprised.
