Remember though, Bush can be trusted. So if HE picked this guy in a recess appointment he must be trustworthy. Why, just ask him. I mean there must be a reason he didn't want the Senate to look over his credentials and that's why he appointed him during recess right?

In one of the articles posted when Bush installed him it said there was one hearing on Magaw before Congress left, and that Spector had raised questions about Ruby Ridge.
If this was Clinton...I would say the excuse of this installment was, he needed the guy in ASAP was a lie and that he was really installed because hearings were not going as smooth as he had hoped and he wanted/needed this JBT in to implement his plans and wanted to bypass Congress.
