There was a LOT of griping on the previous thread, and a lot of seemed to relate to what is defined by "off-topic," and what tortures should be visited upon those who would promote such things.

And, while I'm thinking about it, QUIT trashing our conservative candidates. If you want to criticize someone's position on some policy, have at it. But do not trash or smear the man. That would include Browne, Buchanan, Bush, Keyes, et al, or whomever else may be your favorite trashee...

Can't tell you how much I appreciate this statement Jim.  I have always felt that issues were fair game, but some of the attacks are savage and lack basis in fact.

You might be suprised to know how many teenagers and younger are registered Freepers. Profanity is never necessary or desirable.

Of course I grew up in a society 180 degrees from todays where you NEVER heard profanity in mixed company.

JR will get really pissed IMHO and pull the plug on this great place if disruptors from within aren't careful. It's all about respect, disagree to disagree and move on......heck I even get along with Poohbah :o) ......so theres no reason anyone here can't get along with the exception of Illbay maybe.....somethings just aren't possible.
