It varies, but in Africa today there are no societies as barbaric and regressive as the old south. The souths heritage was the barbarism of Africa, and today, even Africa has moved ahead of that. There are the occasional lapse, but then, none have been so much like the evil incarnate found in Europe in the 20th century.
