I do need to appologize. It had been my thought that Roberts was the source. Of course he's simply quoting someone else. I skimmed the article and can't believe I misqued on that. I appreciate your correction.

As I skimmed this I had thought that the title was stating that the source was finally revealed. I went down looking at the bold print and gave it more significance than it deserved. You were right to bring this to my attention.

I had not heard of the garage being set up with locks on the inside before. But then we're not completely sure that is correct either.

I don't have reason to disbelieve this Roberts guy, but as you state he is a second hand source.

FIRE CHIEF CHARGED WITH MOLESTING 15-YEAR-OLD BOY

(02-16-2002) - A federal fire chief was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of repeatedly molesting a 15-year-old boy he met over the Internet.

Authorities met David Kent Martineau at his La Mesa home at approximately 9 a.m., police said. La Mesa Police Department Sgt. Allen White said that Martineau surrendered without incident.

Authorities said that they believe Martineau began a sexual relationship with the boy beginning March 2002 and continuing through January 2002.

Martineau, 48, is a fire chief with a federal agency headquartered on Pacific Coast Highway. He was booked into county jail on three sexual assault charges and one count of possessing child pornography.
