President Bush headed to Chicago today to participate and watch the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. During the procession, Bush stopped the Presidential limo and walked to the viewing area. Chicago Mayor Richard Daly and Illinois Governor George Ryan accompanied the President. The crowd loved it, and cheers of 'Bush! Bush! Bush!' were heard every now and then from spectators. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: The United States has helped Afghanistan avert mass starvation. We're repairing its roads and bridges. We're rebuilding its health clinics and schools. And in one week, with textbooks in hand, the young girls of Afghanistan will begin school. This will be a remarkable moment in the history of Afghanistan, and a proud moment for the people of America.

Isn't there a popular saying something like: _____ me, I'm Irish? Maybe that's what made him laugh. LOL.

His great great great great great grandfather was born in Ireland around 1750 so he actually qualified to be in the Parade! LOL!

I
knew you'd have a Dose tonight, rintense!! Cause you're a bonnie lassie!!
Don't you think that it had to be a Secret Service nightmare to have him walk out in the open that way?? I heard that he wanted to be at the NYC parade, but that the proximity of the buildings made it way too dangerous.
And isn't that just Kiss me, I'm Irish?? :o)

Thanks for the clarification! For a minute there, I thought you were calling me a dog! LOL. I'm not sure, but I think my dad had some Irish in him, which explains my temper...

Great moments! If not for this thread, I would have missed um! LOVE THESE PHOTOS! So much emotion.

Oh, babe, SO would I. He is simply GLEEFUL!!
But I would also like to know about the photo of the woman who is apparently wiping away a tear ( the woman with the faux fur cuffs and lapels. Our President is looking at her with a face that makes me want to weep. Wonder what was up with that moment?

I was wondering about that moment too. Looks like he is about to put his arm around her and provide some comfort.
