If you can't stop for a red light in the rain you are driving to fast. Slow down. The speed limit is a suggestion for the maximum safe speed given excellent condtions. As conditions deteriorate you should slow down. It rains a lot in Oregon too, and everybody drives real slow. No problem stopping for reds. Try it!

Thank you so much for YOUR advice.....it's so refreshing to get driving lessons from someone one state away.....who knows NOTHING about HOW I DRIVE. Ever heard of ICE? SLEET? I neglected to mention that, but I thought it would be obvious....guess not to some. I get COMPLIMENTS on my driving and have for the 35 years I've been driving.
