I am an American, and was born in New York, but I appreciate and love what India stands and strives for, which, in my opinion, is directly in line with the highest ideals of the United States.

The United States is my home, and I love it and would fight for it. And I believe positive, strong relations with the only other true constitutional republic, an English speaking, democratic, secular, racially and religiously diverse, common law based, and progressive country that is India, can only be beneficial for both the U.S. and India.

Why don't you go back to one of the 25-odd Islamic nations?

One reason (among many) is that I am not a Muslim. Before you write about India, you had better know what you're writing about. Have you ever lived in India for a period of at least a year or more? If you haven't, how can you write about it? By reading your posts, I can tell you really don't know much about India but you think you do. Well...I've lived in India, buddy...I know what goes on there. Half my family is still there, and most of them want to get out. Just why do you think millions of people want to get out of India? Have you been to the U.S. embassy in Madras at 6:00 A.M. and seen the lines of people who want to live your "crown jewel of Asia"? I have.

India is better than Pakistan or China and certainly does have a great educational system. I should know, as half my family incluiding my father graduated from the I.I.T.s. It's also a potentially good place to retire, if you have the right connections. Other than than things in India look pretty grim. I was there last March so I know what I am writing about. 80,000 people visit FR. and if you don't know what you're writing about one of them will jump on you and flame your a--. So, be careful and think twice before you post.
