Virginia FReepers! - Time to give John RINO Warner the Heave HO!

Virginia Freepers - John RINO Warner has oversytayed his welcome! He has turned his back on the people of Virginia, and the United States. His betrayal of his oath to uphold the Constitution, by virtue of his vote in favor of the McCain-Feingold bill, has confirmed what alot of us already knew concerning his liberal leanings.

Fellow Virginians, now is the time to deal a blow for freedom in this Commonwealth, and the country as a whole. The United States, and the people of Virginia deserve someone who will look after their welfare, and their Constitutional Rights. Today let us begin the search for the man or woman of the highest character, who will hold to the highest ideals, and who will stand in the gap for all Virginians. Let us elect someone who will treat the Constitution with the highest respect, and will not compromise their beliefs based on political expedience, someone who will fight for the freedoms that we all hold so dear.

This great nation began in our Commonwealth. The lamp of freedom was kindled almost exactly two hundred sevenety seven years ago by no less a Virginian than Patrick Henry, the first governor of our free commonwealth, when he said:

"If we wish to be free-- if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending--if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained--we must fight!"

Our nation's struggle began here, and it ended here at Yorktown in 1781.Today we are engaged in another struggle, the struggle to preserve the freedoms for which so many of our countrymen gave their lives. This struggle may not be with the use of arms, but it is a war nevertheless. The struggle is against a philosophy that threatens the very fabric of our wills. Our heritage compels us to action, and our freedoms and livelyhoods demand it.

Let us go forward now, and deliver a message to John Warner that we hold him responsible for the errosion of freedoms in our land. Indeed, we are the only ones this side of judgement that can do this. Those in other states who are likewise disposessed must also do the same in regard to their representatives. Let us select such a person as will be the true representative of the people of our great Commonwealth. Let the search begin now. Contact the representatives, or other individuals, that you trust will uphold the highest ideals of our great Republic. Leave no stone unturned. We must not hold our peace now, or we will forced to do so forever.

Amen to that. He doesn't deserve to serve in the same state as George Allen and where Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry served us so valiantly.

What makes Warner so respected? I am afraid his naval career doesn't cut it and former husband to Liz Taylor surely doesn't.

Respected by who? John McCain & Ted Kennedy.

His committee chairmanships are not even an issue anymore thanks to Jim Jeffords. Warner has been a RINO for a long time. Yesterday's actions were the last straw.

John Warner is soft on the 2nd Amendment, soft on an unborn child's right to life, and voted against Robert Bork.

He has failed the Commonweath by failing to support conservative candidates.

This represents the final straw.

Do your homework and come back.

Warner only got elected in 1978 because Dick Obenshain, who beat him at the GOP nominating convention, got killed in a plane crash, and Warner then got the nomination; also because at the time Warner was married to Elizabeth Taylor. Warner is a true RINO, and, as V=P Cheney once said, the wheel has turned, and it is time for him to go.

Thank GOD you people don't run the RNC. If you don't like it, stop whining, and join Pat Buchanan's Reform Party.

It doesn't matter, if he's acting like a Democrat.

In the end it wouldn't matter what party they belong to, if we would throw them out when they put party above principle. They would all get the message. The way things are now, they ignore the people they supposedly represent, because they know that laziness and party loyalty will protect them.

Sort of reminds me of Animal Farm; the pigs keeping everybody down with dire warnings of "Farmer Jones will come back---you don't want Farmer Jones to come back, do you?"
