if the Tree of Liberty is ready to be fed...it can begin with me.

Not meaning to trivialize anyone's love of country, but seriously either your skin is very thin or you need to get a grip on reality. People don't usually flock to tyrannical countries, and last time I looked there were huge lines of immigrants waiting for their chances to be free here.

I'd like to open the first bank on this Island. Can I be in charge of printing the currency?

And not many libertines are leaving.

"Being Austrailia has some of the largest taxes in the world due to it's 45% welfare roles"

You mean they pretend they're on welfare?!?

Why don't we get into negotiations with Belize? Freepers will come to town, upgrade their infrastructure (information technology, utilities, and so forth), in exchange for a 'sovereign' section of land (similar to the Mennonites in Belize) and a few of those GORGEOUS cayes off the coast. We spend the rest of our lives sucking down pina coladas and enjoying the finest Caribbean rums while those who remain in America deal with Hillary Clinton. Sounds like a plan. Click here for details.

They're both in their '70s.

Tina Louise and Dawn Wells are - but Ginger and Mary Ann will always be in their twenties. ;)

"The prices are pretty reasonable for a lot of islands. I would love to own a couple of them."

Me too.... Guess that's why I'm probably foolish enough to play the lottery. Figure that's the only way I'd be able to buy one of these beauts (sigh)... J

Sicko. They're both in their '70s.

So what, there are lots of Freepers in their 70's too you know (not quite there myself). Do you think that folks in the 70's just sit around and knit? When Strom Thurmond was about 70 he married a Miss America Finalist, Duke Law School graduate (Summa cum Laude), on his staff, and started another family!

One minor problem with Belize...no guns allowed. We would have to "fix" that.

Hmmm...80,000 registered Freepers at $15 a piece. We can do this. :-) Somebody would have to kick in Murry Mom's $15...she can't come. I'm sorry.

Anyone Want to Start Their Own Country?

Yeah, I want to start my own country, right here in the USA, based simply upon the Constitution.

Freedom is slavery

I always thought the Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose.
Nothing left for me and Bobby Magee
