The Justice Department has released the results of its investigation into the missing document case that briefly held up the execution of Tim McVeigh.

The DOJ concluded that it was all inadvertent, and didn't really affect the way the McVeigh was tried or decided.

Two cases I might otherwise have accepted as settled, pre 9/11: Oklahoma City and TWA 800.

Not anymore.

No no, you guys are all wrong. You need to trust everything your government says. The people in the government wouldn't lie to the people of this great country, would they? If the govt. says the sky is blue you'd better check. I don't believe anything the govt. says about anything. Too many times I've seen them lie. Often for no apparent reason. From L.B.J. saying he would get the hell out of Viet Namif elected to bill Clinton saying his would be the most ethical administration in history, Ha Ha HA.

It would seem that those accused of wearing tin foil hats were right after all! Wasn't all the rubble from OKC taken to a gubmint reservation and buried (for security reasons)? If so, now's a good time to dig it up and check it for explosives other than ANFO!

Thanks for the post. I love John Gibson, but I don't usually get to see his show unless I'm home sick or something because it's on 5:00 to 6:00, and I'm not home from work until about 6:00. (I wish Fox would rerun his show overnight -- O'Reilly's OK, but do we really need him at 8:00, 11:00 and 2:00? And do we really need Greta at all?)

"I think McVeigh was happy to go to his death as a martyr in the anti-big-government movement, but he was not willing to die as a collaborator with the enemy he fought in the Gulf War. That is treason, and would have been deeply embarrassing."

YEP! There are quotes from April and May 2001, five months before 9/11 when McVeigh uses bin Laden's and Yousef's names. He was talking about being referred to as a coward and about his talking about "collateral damage" He said, "this label would make Orwell proud - it is double think at its finest. Collateral damage? As an American news junkie, a military man, and a Gulf War veteran, where do you think I learned that? (It sure as hell wasn't Osama bin Laden!) hmmmmmm! This guy gave so many hints to reporters, most of it wasn't repeated. His trial was a joke.

"Two cases I might otherwise have accepted as settled, pre 9/11: Oklahoma City and TWA 800."....

Welcome! How about 587? There are still some out there that wonder why the shoe bomber didn't just do his thing in the privacy of the men's room!

Why do 61% of Arabs believe they weren't at all involved in the attack on WTC? Their media tells them so every day. Why do 95% or so of Americans believe there was no Muslim connection to OKC. The media told them so every day. 'Nuff said?

How has any policies regarding our FBI, CIA, ATF, DEA changed any since the new administration? It seems to me to be the same as during the corrupt Clinton years. Corruption is still corruption. Who has so much influence to enable this continued corruption after a new administration?

I don't have a clue, does anyone else? Bush and Ashcroft's inability or desire to clean up some of our intelligence and law enforcement problems seems rather obvious. I think they present the appearance of honorable men but their actions seem to indicate their hands are tied.

Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by ignornace. Look, organizations are big fumbling beasts. The idea that you can wave some magic bureaucratic wand and everything will start functioning perfectly is a socialistic delusion of the first order.

My question is this:

If the government had all this evidence implicating Iraq, and believed it to be credible, wouldn't we be using it right now to justify an attack on Iraq.

I don't buy the "government would be embarrassed" argument - They could easily frame it as: "in light of new information gained in the wake of 9/11, we have revisited the Oklahoma bombing, etc..."

And do we really need Greta at all?

No. Besides her ideology, she is painful to watch. She has all the facial nuances of a Clutch Cargo cartoon.

Don't believe the propaganda. McVeigh was NOT anti-big government. He complained that the US was the only industrialized state that didn't have nationalized healthcare. He was a pro-HillaryCare, pro-big government terrorist.

I love John Gibson and no, he's not afraid to "tell it like it is". I've requested that FoxNews rerun his shows - he often has better content than any of the others - with the exception of maybe Brit Hume.

Does anyone have any stored FR threads on the OK bombing? If so, please send to Gibson - I think he will read them and even better, use the information.
