I am not saying that slavery was good or beneficial, I am saying that reparations to decendants is wrong.
There is no one alive in this country that owned or was a slave. But, there are slave owners in the world today. I know that it will come as a surprise to know that the Sudan still has large pockets of Slavery. I can't remember where Sudan is though. Could someone tell me.

No surprise … we know; the world knows; Deadria Farmer-Paellman knows and so does Jesse Jackson know about African slavery. Moreover, this slavery exists because it is an Arab tradition to enslave Christians.

After Islam spread across North Africa in the 600's, Muslim entrepreneurs in the 700's charted routes from oasis to oasis and proved that if large numbers of "Slaves" were brought from below the Sahara, enough would survive to assure a profit.
"Slave" caravans from Muslim regions now known as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt stuck out on dire southward journeys. Muslims needed only to supply the most northerly black tribes with "chains, "manacles" and "swords" they needed to efficiently kidnap people from tribes living further south.
Other Muslim "slavers" from Arabia and Egypt sailed down the East African coast and formed a "slave-gathering" base on an island call Zanzabar. Equipping mainland black tribes adjacent to Zanzabar as "slave raiders", they too saw their profits grow.
Though they arrived ruefully late (early 1800's) in black African history, a relative handful of "Christian" missionaries caused 250 million black Africans in subSahara to be categorized today as "Christains"! YES, "Christian" missionaries "Opposed Slavery" everywhere they encountered it. David Livingston often found himself looking into the muskets of "Muslim Slavers" who were incensed at "Christians" who urged them to end something they had been doing with impunity for a "Millennium".
An important question Farrakhan refuses to ask himself relate to his followers. "Which group among the actual slave owning societies first began to manifest twinges of conscience over the horrors of slaver? - Christian slave-owning societies or Muslim slave-owning societies?
"Slavery" was not declared illegal in "Saudi Arabia", the main guardian of Islamic purity, until '1965. Nor was slavery declared illegal in "Muslim Sudan" until '1991.
In the United States, Southern insistence on condoning slavery and Northern determination to "abolish" it triggered a "Bloody Civil War" that killed 600,000 White Men and wounded 2 million others. 53,000 died in just one 3-day battle of this Civil War--The Battle of Gettysburg.

In Which MUSLIM nation has there ever been even a minor civil disturance of conscience over slaver, let alone a Civil War? NOT ONE. There seems to be no record of any entire community or sect within ISLAM that has--prior to this century--opposed slaver and actively worked for it's ABOLITION!!!
Yet Farrakhan and other's stuck in a past they had no part in gives the Northern states no credit for their costly stand. He tars all "Chistians" as abbettors of slavery, while conspiratorally hiding ISLAMS 900-year headstart in the enslavement of Black Africans.
Why do we not find perhaps 100 to 300 million of their decendents living in North Africa and the Middle East today? Muslim Slavers commonly "Castrated" black males lest they pose a sexual threat to Muslem women in North Africa and Arabia.
MUSLIM SLAVE OWNERS saw no need to breed slaves. Supplies were plentiful. Prices were reasonalbe. So they inhumanely denied their male slaves not only wages and freedom, but even worse, the rights of marriage, sex, and parenting.
In summary "Christianity's" record re Black African rights, in spited of horrifying chapters, still far outshines "ISLAMS" record re the same. Let Afro-Americans and Christians everywhere give answer to Farrakhan's "propaganda". __________________________________________________________
"Slavery Reparations"? Not in this lifetime, in fact there are many that believe they are the ones that owe America an astronomical debt, because it was Her people that fought to the death and freed these people from bondage, forever, not the beloved "ALLAH"!! And it does not matter a hill of beans what anyone thinks the Civil War was fought for, they are FREE today because of that Bloody WAR. It was a Christian God that saw fit to free these people, not "ALLAH"
I'd love for any Black American to tell us truthfully, if these things had not come to pass for their people here in America, where on this earth would any of them be today? What mud-hut and country would they be living in today? What would their chances of survival be "today"?
