I don't know, "arms are the insignia of a civilized free man" sounds like a sound bite to me. And personally I could care less who has a gun, what type you have or how many you have. Unless you are faced with an armed opponent who is intending to do you or a loved one personal harm, I consider a gun to be a coward's weapon and way of solving a problem. I never said that I was a pacifist, nor do I endorse pacifism. I tend to agree with my father who said that a peace symbol looked like a chicken's foot.
As far as cameras at intersections go, what is the difference between a robotic camera taking a picture of someone running a red light and a uniformed policeman doing the same thing. Is the ability to run a red light an issue of privacy?
