Ozzy Osbourne has bitten the head off a bat, defecated in a woman's handbag, and snorted a line of ants off the ground - but the rocker was utterly disgusted at the idea of meeting Russell Yates, the husband of convicted child killer Andrea Yates. While shadowing Osbourne for an upcoming story in Blender magazine, writer Adrian Deevoy accompanied him to a "Today" show taping, where Deevoy met Yates in the green room. Yates yammered about what a big Osbourne fan he was, sang several Black Sabbath songs, and talked excitedly about getting a picture with the rocker. But when Osbourne and wife Sharon were told that Yates wanted a photo, they were repulsed. "I will burn his eyes out with a hot poker," Ozzy bellowed. "He is profiting directly from the demise of his own children. And that, to me, is wrong." After being warned that Yates was waiting for him in the green room, the Osbournes and Devoy ducked out the door.

Further proof that Ozzy Osbourne has higher standards of taste and morality than Katie Couric.

Ozzy's cool. Most of the stuff that upset people in the past about him were part of his public character.

I knew this Yates guy wasn't nearly the rigid christian as everyone was saying. He's an Ozzy fan, which proves the man is nuts.

Ozzy is great.
Perky Katie is a pig.
If I was Ozzy, I would be almost as repulsed at the thought of meeting Couric, who also has no compunction about using the gruesome deaths of those poor kids to try for a ratings bump. She just turns my stomach.
To: HHFi
Good for the Ozz....but he and his whole family could learn a bit about expression without so much damn cursing....whoops...
Seriously...his kids are more foul mouthed than yours truly and to their own folks....that should be unacceptable..really.

Reminds me of the old temperance song:
"you can tell someone who boozes by the company he chooses,
...and the pig got up and slowly walked away....."

Pretty neat huh? His demon possessed wife killed their 5 children and her hubby wants to sing back Balck Sabbath (darkness !!) tunes back to Ozzy.
Ozzy ought to think about the legions he has inspired with his dumb ass evil rock songs. These days Oz is a clown and not a bad guy. He was very funny on Howard Stern a few days back.

The world is foggy. Stumbling and shuffling along in a hazy trance. Drool. Then, Ozzy hears a faraway voice. Slowly it sinks in, its his PR man. Slowly putting the words together in his head.....Yates.....drowned kids....autograph. In a moment of rationality some long dormant section of Ozzy's brain stirs. He shakes his head, shouts an obscenity and lurches toward the door to escape the horror.

Further proof that Ozzy Osbourne has higher standards of taste and morality than Katie Couric. Consider this a nomination for quote of the day.

Please, someone; name one Black Sabbath song that is encouraging satanic worship or dabbling in the occult or black magic. It would be quite difficult, since there isn't a song of their's that fits the description. Most of their songs dealt with the dangers and horrors of satan and the dark side, and dabbling with black magic. Others dealt with stories of evil that were quite descriptive in nature, much as a horror movie or novel would portray.
One of their songs, "After Forever", is a composition the band wrote because so many people thought they were devil worshippers, and a passage in the song proves their true belief:
It's best you think before you say God is dead and gone
Open your eyes and judge for your life 'cause He is the one
The only one who can save you now from all the sin and hate.
There was one reason, also, why they used evil imagery on their album covers. It sold records. Period. Record executives knew that because it shocked and/or offended people back in the 1970's, and created a buzz for people to go and buy the album.
