***NEWS UPDATE***
THOMAS MORE LAW CENTER WINS PRO-LIFE VICTORY IN MONTANA
(Ann Arbor, MI) In a ruling the Thomas More Law Center called a sound victory for the pro-life cause and free speech, a Montana federal judge signed an order this past week upholding the First Amendment right of pro-life demonstrators to carry graphic signs of aborted babies.
This is a sound victory for free speech and the pro-life cause, said Robert Muise, the Thomas More Law Center attorney handling this case. These graphic pictures of aborted babies are the most effective way to show the public that abortion is a terrible and violent act. Abortion supporters want these signs taken out of the public square, and too often the police and city attorneys are willing accomplices. However, as this case shows, the First Amendment protects the pro-life demonstrators right to use these signs to speak out against abortion.
The Montana case received national attention last year. On August 10, 2001, Jonathan Martin and Michael Stamp, along with his wife and several children, were demonstrating against abortion on a public sidewalk outside of a local Planned Parenthood facility in Great Falls, Montana, with signs displaying pro-life messages, Sacred Scripture passages, and images of aborted babies. A Great Falls Assistant City Attorney, flanked by two police officers, ordered them to remove their graphic signs or they would be cited and the signs would be confiscated. According to this Assistant City Attorney, the signs were a public nuisance. Rather than risk arrest and have their signs confiscated, the pro-life demonstrators left the area.
The Thomas More Law Center was retained and quickly filed a federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of the pro-life demonstrators seeking a declaration that their First Amendment rights had been violated and an award of damages and attorneys fees.
On March 18, 2002, Montana federal district court judge Sam Haddon signed a Consent Judgment finding that the Assistant City Attorney had unconstitutionally deprived Plaintiffs of their rights guaranteed to them under the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution by preventing them from demonstrating with their aborted baby signs. The judge ordered the Assistant City Attorney to pay the Plaintiffs nominal damages for the loss of their constitutional rights and attorneys fees and costs in the amount of $9,346.01.

My Mother - God rest her precious soul - used to harp on this subject. She was irritated by the pro-lifers who were afraid to show graphic pictures. Called them a bunch of wimps. My Mom would have been happy about this ruling. For victory & freedom!!!

Pictures like these?
The Hard, Dirty, Stinking, Terrifying Truth About Legalized Abortion
- One Day, not so long ago, one of our allies managed to infiltrate a Laboratory in Southern California that receives the babies killed by a particular chain of abortion "clinics". The pictures she took provide you an overview of what legalized abortion looks like up close and dirty.
- Each of those plastic jars contains one little dead person. The mother's name and the date of the abortion are written on the labels.
- Look closely and you can make out the names of the mothers as well as some of the actual body parts of the children they sacrificed on the altar of the demon of self-indulgence.
- This one stack of receipts documents the babies slaughtered at Family Planning Association, 8888 Fletcher Parkway, La Mesa, California, in one day.
- The laboratory we infiltrated receives babies' bodies from many such "clinics".
- The containers come in all sizes. These are the largest, containing babies between 20 to 36 weeks old.
- Notice the stains of evil covering the containers.
- It gets no easier to look at the actual caskets of hundreds of little people conceived by God and slaughtered in direct rebellion against God's will..
- Like Legalized Abortion itself, the stains of evil are horrible to behold.
- The least among the babies are bagged like groceries destined for satan's table.
- This gives you a glimpse at the contents of the smallest containers. This person was eights weeks from conception when butchered.
- Look closely at the words printed on the box and you will see the horrible paradox created when babies are killed and babies are birthed in the same facilities.

Notice the stains of evil covering the containersThey are stained with BLOOD .....BLOOD in itself is not evil!
But the post in itself is a very good one worthy of bumping .....im afraid your preaching to the choir with me and some others but i hope it reaches a vast audiance and changes the minds of those even remotly thinking of an abortion!

Wasn't Matt Drudge fired from Fox because he wanted to show graphic pictures of aborted fetuses on the air? Hmmmmmmm.

Don't be so sure this is "preaching to the choir" here. There are plenty of pro choice FReepers (but I'm not one of them).

Thanks for the professional bumping process.

This is just like forcing the German big-city politicos to see the death camps-- a result of their apathy. Maybe these pictures will change some hardened hearts, eh?
To: Saundra Duffy
No, he didn't even want to show those pictures. He was going to show a baby reaching his hand out of the womb and grasping a doctors finger, while being operated on in utero. Drudge wanted to show the picture on TV, and comment only on the medical aspect. not on aborttion. Fox News told him he could not show the picture, so he decided to resign. This was not a disgusting picture, it was a wonderful picture.
To: Saundra Duffy
Re: #11 - If I recall, it wasn't even that bad. Matt simply wanted to show the pictures of the baby's hand in the hand of his physician as the doctor performed surgery while the baby was still in utero. Matt wanted to show LIFE and the network couldn't even show that. They can't handle the truth and will do anything to cover it up.
To: Saundra Duffy
Well i did say for some but i understand your point

The judge ordered the Assistant City Attorney to pay the Plaintiffs nominal damages for the loss of their constitutional rights and attorneys fees and costs in the amount of $9,346.01.I hope that's personally pay those damages and fees, not have the City pay. Take it out of his personal hide, IMHO...
