I thought the Republic was supposed to be a conservative paper - - - haven't seen it for years, though.

Reminds me of Phil Hendrie's character:
Everything relates back to, "I'm a Gay man and a Gay Journalist."

Great, another milepost on the downward road.
Anyone know who the highest ranking child molestor is? How about the highest ranking person who's into bestiality? How about rapist?
Oh, wait; we may already know that answer....

It hasn't been conservative for many a long year. I just cancelled my subscription last month.

"Randy Lovely"!
Sounds like a gay porn star.

The gay issue won't be a priority, he insisted.Oh, no....it never is with the homosexual community, is it?

Some conservatives believe that qualified people should be hired to do the jobs that they are qualified to do, and that such hirings are good business practices.

Probably imported from the homosexual overload at the NY Times.

I'm also not going to turn The Arizona Republic into the community's gay-and-lesbian newspaperGreat! I hope he keeps that promise. If he turns out to be a fair and objective editor, fine with me. I don't care who shares his bed. However, if becoming managing editor is a means to an end - specifically, promoting the homosexual political and social agenda - then he deserves our criticism. Let's see what happens.

The paper is providing that partner, John Sallot, head-hunting help to find a new job, a perk typically associated with executives who move with married spouses. Uhh....I don't think he needs help in that area.
You just can't make this stuff up!

It was bought out last year by Gannett.

The gays are definitely coming out of the closet and in your face.

Lovely pointed to the fact that he's continued his fast rise despite being gay, and vocal, as proof that the industry is changing. The newpaper industry is changing. Yes. It's been anti-gay for many years, but thanks to a long battle by Randy and his POSSLQ, the media much more tolerant to liberal views. Gays no longer fear being hounded out of the print media.</sarcasm>.
