This being Ithaca, there are probably many families who would want their children to see the play in question. But of course many parents will not, and they are placed in the uncomfortable position of having to send a special note to the school and having their kids removed from the classroom - something few parents or children enjoy.

This story illustrates why I believe the only real solution is vouchers. If you want to send your children to this kind of school, fine. But give others the option to send their kids to schools where other values are taught.

Heard something on the news on the radio this morning during my commute to work about one of the schools here in the Dalla Metroplex. Seems some students want to start an organization to promote homosexual understanding and defuse what they see as misundertandings between the homosexual and heterosexual student community. Gobbledegook for they want to start a gay club. According to the commentator there are already thousands of such organizations in the country. Anyone have and experience with this in their community?

Our world seems to be going to hell in a handbasket.

You beat me to the post. Kudos.

Of special note to me, at least, is that the play's author is a FOURTH GRADE teacher. Fourth grade?!? Is there any doubt that he is hard at work indoctrinating his students on the acceptability, if not superiority, of the gay lifestyle?

Ithaca is the City of Evil.
