NEW YORK (AP) A month before its publication, a provocative book about children's sexuality is being denounced by conservatives as evil and prompting angry calls for action against the University of Minnesota Press.
The book, ''Harmful to Minors: The Perils of Protecting Children From Sex,'' argues that young Americans, though bombarded with sexual images from the mass media, are often deprived of realistic advice about sex.

It's good to know that no LIBERALS are protesting this book. (Idiots...)
(How many AP reporters does it take to get a fair, unbalanced article, anyway?)

''In America today, it is nearly impossible to publish a book that says children and teen-agers can have sexual pleasure and be safe too.'' The reason being quite simply that such a suggestion is a lie.

(Heh, and I couldn't just post that ONCE, either. I HAD to make my point...)

''Squeamish or ignorant about the facts, parents appear willing to accept the pundits' worst conjectures about their children's sexual motives,'' Levine writes. ''It's as if they cannot imagine that their kids seek sex for the same reasons they do.'' So a teen boys want to have sex because he is married and has a lifelong commitment to share himself with his wife? Huh- didn't know that.

She said the weakening of comprehensive sex education programs has left sexually active teen-agers uninformed about ways to protect themselves from AIDS The kids know how to protect themselves; they know that a condom is good protection against babies, but not so good againsy the AIDS's virus. There the only protection is to avoid contact with a virus carrier.

''Teens often seek out sex with older people, and they do so for understandable reasons: an older person makes them feel sexy and grown-up, protected and special,'' writes Levine, who had an affair with an adult when she was a minor. Good grief this woman is sick.

Touch a liberal, go to jail because you stole their body. Ah! but killing babies and stealing their bodies for self gratification is allllll right. A whore must be paid, but children can shut up. THese people are sick nazies.

HAS NO CHILDREN OF HER OWN.
It's OK for pediphiles to molest other peoples children.
This is another good example of the perverted world view of liberalism.
Satans minions teaching the children to have sex with anyone, anywhere, and forget the consequences that may follow. It will increase the number of screwed up left wing voters. All loosers. Everyone of them. Misery loves company, and this author proves it.

Show me a kid today that doesn't know about AIDS, condoms, STDs, how to get pregnant, etc... This has never been about education and information. It is about sexualizing children. Liberals are evil. Hopefully they've stepped too far down their immoral path and the mushy middle crowd will see them for the evil brokers they really are.

What a deal. Liberals can now p&rk young meat for free. After all, they care so much for teens' feelings, they make them feel sexy. IT S FOR THE CHILDREN!!!!
GET THEIR SLOBBY DISGUSTING HANDS OFF OF MY CHILDREN!!!!

And she talks about TWELVE to sixteen year olds being able to give consent to adults. What trash!
Besides, everybody knows that most twelve year olds think that adults are ancient.....like any of my twelve year olds would have consented. sick sick sick

Levine said this week that she disapproves of any sexual relationship between a youth and an authority figure, whether a parent, teacher or priest,This is an interesting statement. Her complaint is not the act, but the offender might be an 'authority figure.' Would it be ok of the offender was just a no authority sleeze ball?

"has no children of her own"
Yes, that phrase jumped out at me too. That is why I put it in bold. Isn't it amazing how liberals want to tell us how how to spend our money, how to raise our children, how (not)to protect our family (anti-gunners)....?
Would this woman really want her 11 year old having sex with a 30 year old guy?
