Their actions? Distribute condoms to students during lunch

Geez. I always felt lucky if I got an extra chocolate covered peanut butter ball dessert.

Who allowed them to do this?

Does your school board approve?.....Your principal?

If sex ed is a mandate, how much can they get away with.

Are you willing to be a leader in changing this direction?

Would you have any support.....This could be a real challenge....Southern California.

How much does this truly offend you?

Besides the fact that it's just plain strange for a fellow student to hand you a contraceptive, it implies that teens either don't care or aren't intelligent enough to not have sex in the first place, or, if they decide to have sex, at least use their own protection. We might was well be a bunch of zoo animals. Or, perhaps we just don't have the self control to not throw ourselves into bed. Either way, the concept of handing out contraceptives in schools gives teenagers a bad name.

Well said. It reminds me of events about a decade ago when there was a group of HS students in Marin County (home of Johnny Jihad) who were protesting in order to make condoms available upon request from the school clinic. The few (but media-savvy) students organized the mini-rally in May, just before the prom and graduation. No from the press or TV thought to ask, "What about during summer vacation? If you're going to have a hot date in the middle of August, and don't have the school nurse to give you your rubbers, are you going to go without sex, or just without 'protection?'"

You're a high school freshman? You're a great writer for your age.

The distribution of contraceptives actually promotes teen sex.

How so?
