Several years ago, sex ed was mandated in our county.....quietly, before parents, students got wind of it.
Dissemination of the curriculum all across the county.......Stacks of curriculum, printed out, and hand carried from one end of the county to the other by parents, students, clergy working together.......helped turn the tide in the other direction.
Lots of hard work, phone calls, and home gatherings where parents/students could look at the curriculum helped gather steam to effect change against this mandate.
We ended up with sex ed....(that part we couldn't stop!).......but decidedly an Abstinence Only version.
Abortion, condoms etc. could only be discussed as a failed approach.
If you really feel strongly about this, and aren't afraid of trying......go for it!
