Unjust conditions maybe, but holy sites? Jesus didn't care about things!

calling on Israel to use proportionate force in its acts of legitimate self-defence

What does this mean? Israel should send in teenaged girls to blow up cafes in Ramallah? The only thing this satanic cult that calls itself the Palestinian Authority understands is force -- and lots of it.

As much as I respect the Pope, this statement and position by the Vatican is way out of line.

I like Catholics and respect their traditions and occasionally attend their services but I think this otherwise fine Pope should refrain from these admonitions. I find it odd that the only Priests in recent modern history to endorse force (indirectly or otherwise) have been the liberation clergy in the third world....Central America usually. I suppose there are some Catholic clergy in Ulster who support the IRA at least tacitly. Now we have a Pope who I generally admire asking for restraint and all that sort of dovey talk when Israel is fighting for her existence. Is there a recent time where the Vatican has endorsed force for the right side?

East Timor??

Well, I TOTALLY disagree with the Pope. He should READ THIS!!!! (just click on the link to read the letter from a young newly married doctor in Israel)

"A LETTER FROM ISRAEL"

Then tell the young doctor who wrote it.. how awful they are for wanting terrorists to stop blowing up their families and freinds.

Let's see the Arabs break into the Church of the Nativity and hold the Priests and Nuns as hostages. The PLO murders Jewish women, children, and civilians, yet none of this is worth a comment. The Israelis finally defend themselves and the Vatican becomes unglued. With all due respect maybe they should concentrate on the child molesting priests instead of joining the anti-Israel mob.

ISRAELI troops pushed further into the West Bank yesterdayas the Vatican summoned the Israeli Ambassador to the Holy See to accuse his country of imposing “unjust conditions and humiliations” on the Palestinians

Unfortunately, as a Catholic, outside of complaining to my priest (HAHAHAHA), there is no adequate way I have of telling the Pope to shut the hell up.

Both of my Senators are socialist liberals, and it would be easier to get a response on something I complained to them about.

This is one of those times I despise the Catholic church.

And the Pope wonders why the Israelis almost let the Palestinians destroy one of his churches by building a mosque riiiight next to it.

Excuse me your holiness but it might be more helpful if you just kept your mouth shut. Now go play with your marbles.

Its hard to discern which is a more potent evil force

Islam

or the Political correctness double standards that shield it from accountability.

But the two combined are truly evil.

I feel very sorry for the Israelis, they have a little (and sometimes not so little) bit of 9-11 every day. And to pour salt in the wounds they are condemned for not sitting there and taking it by the euroweasels, an ally who cannot admit that a terrorist is a terrorist, and now even the pope chimes in.

All it takes for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing. And all it takes for evil to really prosper is for good men to confuse good with evil and attack it.

That's what the Pope did today, he helped evil, and he hurt decent people in the process, may God forgive him.

The pope is loses all credibility when he equivocates humiliation with survival. For Israel it is a matter of survival and he is concerned about the feelings of Palestinians. Maybe these Palis need a shrink to help them get over the guilt.

This is disappointing. I suspect the Curia is keeping the Holy Father less than well informed on things happening over there.

WE ARE ALL CONCERNED ABOUT THE TENSION IN THE Middle East but don't you think he should direct his attention to cleansing the Catholic image in light of the disgusting actions of his own Bishops and Priests who continue on with their henious actions remaining in their current positions? The Catholics need to grow a backbone or convert to being Pentacostals, that alone would solve the problems they seem so inept to deal with!

calling on Israel to use proportionate force in its acts of legitimate self-defence

How utterly stupid. If you have a disproportionate force available to throw at an enemy, the smart thing to do is use it. Win the objective quickly and decisivly and leave them with no delusions about your might and willingness to use it. THEN you have peace.

The Pope should be more concerned with the humiliation of untold numbers of young boys, whose lives were ruined by the Church's tolerance of pedophiles. I'm serious. Seems like the Vatican is ready to turn on the Jews again, but then, who isn't? Here's the scorecard:

Siding with Muslim terrorists - All Arab nations, UN, European Union, Catholic Church, American and international media;

Siding with Israel - the US, presumably...Oh, and the One True God.

The battle lines are being drawn - so, who do you think will win?
