Re Pierce:

Well there are those people who latch themselves onto media circuses, hoping to catch some bread. Pierce is painted by the VDs and their PR firm as such. It's quite possible his actually is one of these nasty creatures.

On the other hand, I have known sincere people, with limited or even no funds, who do great good for the oppressed (I used to work with refugees and war victims in other countries). They tend to be very honest, stand up for what is right against the grain of the "big machine". They have suffered much themselves. (I understand Pierce suffered abuse as a child.) Yes, Don Quixote types. Perhaps Pierce is one of them.

I don't know the man, can't pass judgment on which he is. Just better to be safe than sorry. Especially when there are little children at stake.

I don't know the man either, but I do recognize the veracity and passion in his statements. I agree he is a bit odd. As someone who has had to report abuse to the proper authorities, I do understand why he hasn't given up. When reporting abuse there are many obstacles, such as family and in the case of the VDs the PR firm. You have to stick with your gut. My GUT tells me he is on to something. He has not given up, which is a very typical reaction of an advocate.
