How can our leaders think that negotiations with Arafat or ANY Palestinian leader will produce anything of lasting signifance for the region when there are still these terrorist outfits fully capable of continuing their attacks, who will not stop until Israel is completely removed from the region? What is Bush thinking? What is Powell thinking? Why waste our time? Inform Arafat to get those terrorists under control, else Sharon will CONTINUE to do the job for him until all terrorists are completely eradicated.

I did hear a possibility from a writer in Israel, though. He suggests that the Israelis make it public policy that the remaining family of any suicide bombers will automatically be deported and banned from ever returning again. I think that actually might help deter some of them. What's the point of "fighting for the land" if you know your family will never see it again?
