Police: Men soliciting for sex a problem at parkway overlooks

A Botetourt County sheriff's deputy, out of uniform and driving an unmarked vehicle, pulled up to the Coyner Mountain outlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway on March 18 and waited.
It wasn't long before a man pulled up in a pickup truck and started talking about having sex. The man was arrested on a misdemeanor prostitution charge.
The scene was repeated three times the next night, and three more men were arrested on felony charges of soliciting for sodomy.
The sheriff's office pulled the plug on its sting operation after the second night, but officers speculate they could have arrested more men seeking male partners if they had continued.
Men soliciting other men for sex has become a "real bad problem in pretty much all of the overlooks in Roanoke County" and has spread to the Botetourt overlook, said Ed Clark, supervisory ranger for the Blue Ridge Parkway.
People are being solicited 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Clark said.
Signs have been defaced with obscenities and the woods have been littered with feces, toilet paper, sexual devices and condom wrappers, he said. His office has received complaints from people who have said men have exposed themselves or followed them from one overlook to the next.
It starts out small, then they get more and more blatant, to the point where the're doing it in broad daylight next to picnicking families.
Then the police come in with decoys and start doing "stings" and hauling them off. Invaribly there are howls of protest about homophobia and violations of privacy and civil rights (funny, I wasn't even aware of a basic right to do such things in public).
Seriously, though, this sort of thing used to happen in a few public areas in Daytona Beach until the city cracked down on it. Seems it was driving the tourists away, don't 'cha know.
I believe these are people who in addition to their other sexual interests are also exhibitionists.
He said the sting isn't so much about sexual orientation as it is about soliciting for something that is considered a felony and soliciting in a public place.
Ahuh...it seems to me that if it weren't for that particular so-called "orientation", there wouldn't be any pervos out there playing rent-a-butt. This is simply just another manifestation (infestation?) of this nation's out of control faggotry curse. It just amazes me that anyone (even the Rump Rangers themselves) could possibly take to the streets to proclaim their "Pride" in participating in such a disgusting lifestyle. Perhaps even more sickening is the alacrity with which otherwise respected companies pander to these queers. Makes me wanna hurl...
Too bad those rest stops don't have garden hoses. A good spray with the garden hose is what we use on dogs, so it ought to work on them, too.
