The Catechism issued by this pope (in 1994 I think) clearly states that homosexual sex is "evil".

Wanting to engage in an evil type of sex is like wanting the Lexus or Hummer that pulls up next to us at the stoplight. Both are condemned by the Bible as evil.

Any pastor who ever lusts inside after a buxom woman needs to be excommunicated? Oh please. If that is the standard then no denomination would have any pastors.

If your eye caused you to sin, pluck it out, it is better for you to go to heaven with one eye, then to hell with two eyes? If people follow this, obviously the entire male population will be blind today. It is only because we have two eyes! If we have ten eyes, we will have to pluck them one after the other! Christianity and all other religions are full of stuff that is not meant to be taken seriously. Yet religious leaders pick and choose, which verses they will take literarily, and which they will drop. Islam is a good a example of this nonsense.
