There's a growing sense in the Capitol that Gov. Gray Davis will veto this bill if it reaches his desk in anything like its current form. But the CTA is still pushing hard for its passage. And the union is putting Democrats, who are the primary beneficiary of the CTA's campaign contributions, on the spot.Davis knows the CTA has nowhere to go. So do the demos that are pushing this crap, but its just part of the Shakedown.
