Imagine all that green space full of people with lawn chairs, picnic blankets and coolers -- all of them focused on the stage and listening to inspirational speeches extolling the greatness that is America and supporting the men and women in the U.S. Armed Forces who are fighting the war on terrorism. Before the parade began yesterday morning, I walked over the Rally site - from the Constitution Ave border to the 17th Street border and back up to the grove of cherry trees. I stood at the back and looked towards the stage area - and then stood at the "stage" and faced the monument. It's a beautiful site for the Rally - perfect, in fact, for our subject matter; and it's big enough to hold a whole bunch of people!

Angelwood... you and Kristinn, and the rest of the DC Chapter hard corps, are building a great Rally. I have a feeling that all the lost sleep, all the number crunching and equipment-shopping, all the phone calls, all the faxes, all the everything... is going to make this Rally a great success. We are going to have a fantastic time!
