> we have a long tradition of standing our ground on moral and ethical issues, even if we stand alone. Indeed, Abraham, the father of our nation, was known as a Hebrew, from the word Ivri, which means, "he who comes from the other side." Abraham stood on his side of the spiritual divide, smashing the idols of polygamy and converting a reluctant world to the truth of one God.
Nicely put. And applicable to ALL of Abrahams children over the millenia, not just the Jewish children.
Reminds me of the discussion between Prussia's King George III and one of his advisers wherein the King inquired, "tell me, where is the proof God exists?" And his adviser replied, "Your Majesty, the proof is Jews." And as long as the Jewish people endure, we can be confident evil in the world can be irrevocably vanquished.
