Let's all just remember that with regard to the U.S. and Israel, we're talking about two separate countries, with two separate governments, two separate sets of interests, two separate sets of priorities, two separate histories, two separate sets of circumstances and two separate destinies. Where any two separate points meet (and they meet in many places) that's just fine, but they're still separate, so no one should be surprised that our interests and priorities diverge from time to time.
