Tony Sanchez is not the typical "Hispanic" candidate. Hope he wins. However, talking about fooling the voting public -there have been several Houston area Anglo Democrats who suddenly discovered their Hispanic "roots" and started using Hispanic names (even middle names) when they ran for office. It worked with the gullible community.
