"Personnel is policy," Bauer said. "When you place these sorts of appointees in government positions, it is absolutely predictable that their biases on homosexuality will affect the decisions that they make."

Gotcha. I'm sure the "biases" these folks inject into family-sensitive areas like transportation and the environment will infect our souls, grow hair on our hands and bring the world to a fiery end! You're a marginal, nattering little geek, Gary, and you always have been.

People, it's not like Bush appointed the President of Dykes on Bikes to be Secretary of HHS! Having moral and theological qualms about homosexuality is one thing, and I happen to agree with you. Yes, it's unequivocably a sin, but not a one of you is without sin. When they start organizing Gay Pride Marches at the GOP Convention, protest. Until then, chill out.

Turn a blind eye if you wish. No one cares about their sex lives. But, we do care that they are gay activists. Big difference, imo. Also, Bush appointed a gay as ambassador to Romania, a strategic move to promote the gay agenda because Romania is being told they cannot joint the EU if they don't change their gay policy. (I need to double check my facts on that but I think that's right.) Bush is pro-gay. He is pro RLC (L = Leadership; not the Liberty one). They are also pro-gay. He needs to come out of the closet on this issue.

From one conservative to another, thank you for common sense! This hardly comprises accomadating a radical homosexual agenda in any way, shape or form

How is it possible that you do not understand that we are not simply concerned about their "sins?" The gays and lesbians of this nation have an agenda, and Bush is helping them promote it by appointing these people to such influential positions. Good Lord, the Bush supporters need to open their eyes and try to see things as they are rather than what they think they are.

"Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be destroyed like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing."Deuteronomy 7:26

Don't bring up the 'throwing the first stone' canard. That's out of context and won't apply here.
