TEL AVIV, Israel, April 10 (UPI) -- An Armenian priest was wounded at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Wednesday, but it was not clear whether he was shot by Israelis surrounding the church or Palestinians who have been holed up in the building.

An Israeli military source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said soldiers went to the church to deliver food and medicine to clergymen inside and "while the food was being transferred shots were fired."

Israel Radio said the soldiers retreated and when they returned after the incident the priests reported one of them was wounded. A spokeswoman for the Hadassah hospital said the man was shot in the back. The priest's general condition was not known.

More than 100 Palestinians, including several wanted militants, have barricaded themselves in the church with several priests and nuns. Israeli forces have surrounded the compound and have demanded the militants' surrender.

There was no immediate reaction from the Armenian Orthodox Patriarch in Jerusalem.

Sounds like the "palestinian" cretins thought they had to be sure the food was really dead.

Let them starve. It will take the fight out of the little pustules, enough to get in and bundle them up without the building going. Then feed the priests and put the rest down.
