Seems like the best strategy would have been a simultaneous, competing day of silence for those who protest special rights for special groups.

That way no one would have known who was being quiet about what.

I would hold up a card that said, "I am silently protesting for the right to say the name of Jesus Christ in public school."

or

"I am silently protesting for all the children who were destroyed in the womb by abortionists"

how about "I am silently protesting for all the victims killed by the state taking away their guns, against the 2nd amendment."?

I would have it in big black letters on a poster, not a little card. Freak them out.

You are onto something there, if the administration supports this travesty, then all the conservative kids need to come out (no pun intended) with signs supporting everything from drilling in ANWR to getting rid of the teachers' unions.
