Accokeek dispute goes to court

Suffragan Bishop Jane Dixon of the Diocese of Washington, D.C., filed suit June 25 in U.S. District Court, Greenbelt, Md., asking that a federal judge prohibit the Rev. Samuel L. Edwards from officiating at Christ Church and prohibit the vestry from preventing her from "ministering to the congregation and performing episcopal acts there."

A charge was filed against Dixon's husband, David Dixon, assistant counsel for the Immigration and Natural Service, by junior warden Frank McDonough, who claimed David Dixon pushed him during the May 27 service.
