IIRC it was 27 years between the Mexican Revolution and the Treaty of Guadalupe. During that time, most Hispanics in the Southwest still considered themselves Spanish, not Mexican. Many didn't even know that the revolution had happened. As far as Aztlan goes, there are no records or theories that indicate that it ever extended further north than Baja.
