In the words of Lynnrd Skynnrd:

Well Mr. Young should remember,
A Southern Man don't need him around anyhow.

hey neil. grow up, get a haircut, and if it wasn't for the tone deaf status of most rock n roll types, your voice is enough to scare a rabid cat.

I don't care for Neil Young, but I heard "Let's Roll" once, and it was really good. Even better than "Freedom".

Did you know that Neil Young was an honorary pall bearer at Ronnie Van Zandt's funeral? They were actually good friends.

In the song "Ronnie and Neil" (plug for my favorite band here) by the Drive By Truckers, we hear:

Skynyrd was a bunch of Neil Young fans, and Neil, he loved that song (Sweet Home);

So he wrote "Powderfinger" for Skynyrd to record,

But ole Ronnie ended up singing Sweet Home Alabama to the Lord.

Kudos to Young, a Canadian, for standing up. This Southern man will always admire him. Plus, "Cortez the Killer" is one of my all-time faves.
