Not so fast. If I remember correctly, the UN has declared most of the federal parks "world heritage" sites or some such malarkly. What sort of "control" the UN has over these lands is not clear at all. (Please dont think I am defending the UN!)

Perhaps some US govt cog has to "inform" the UN like if we planned to drill for oil in the Alaskan wilderness. (Why should we tell the freaking UN any thing?)
