Western Europe, demographically, is 50 years BEHIND America in a race to third world status. EASTERN Europe is 500 years behind us.

Eastern Europe has already attained 3rd world status. One more example of the false correlation between demographics and national achievement.

Not true. Eastern Europe is considered by those who get paid to make such determinations Second World- excepting Albania. however, since Albania is predominantly Muslim, I hesitate to classify Albania as part of Europe. I guess you can't get around it. Anyway, if after 50+ years of Communism you're Second and not Third World you are probably doing quite well.
