I'm astounded at the ignorance and stupidity of the author of this article.

If a device is transmitting a signal, then that signal can be recieved.

It's so simple. Maybe too simple?

Too simple. Any transmitting device can be made to send a scrambled or encoded signal...look at your 900 MHz cell phone.

But what's the story here? If you buy a camera that transmits to a reciever, any reciever on the same frequency can pick it up within its range.

Dog bites man.

Sun rises again.

Monday follows Sunday.

It would be a story if the signal couldn't be recieved, but then you would have a defective transmitter...

When are you going to get rid of those ugly looking drapes? I'm tired of looking at them.

Actually I came up with a good application for one of these cameras and have a mini-project started.
I'll be meeting with the guy who set up the Bandon webcam.
A live Bandon Oregon "Scan-Cam"
The Coast Guard base in Coos Bay looks at this cam when they have to send a boat to Bandon
(and from late May till mid Sept they station a 47' boat full time.)
My "idea" is to get one of these cameras in the tower overlooking the Coos Bay entrance.
It would not replace the tower watch,
but it would allow the OOD etc to view the bar entrance from their desk at any given time.
Once I get this project going I'll put a page on the internet with links to both cams.
Then boaters and the Coast Guard will be able to see the real time bar conditions.

I protect my family with a Beretta and a Glock. I don't like video. The cops will just have to take my word on how the creep died while invading my home.

This is just plain culpable neglegence on the part of both the manufacturer and the FCC. They could easily have used a spread spectrum transceiver system that would in no way be so easy to observe. There is a budding lawsuit here. Were I an investor in such companies I would get out now.

1st. You DIDN'T buy that model for $39.95. That is the $49,000.00 model.

2nd. The maintenance on those models is probably above your income level. Be careful.

3rd. If that is the self reproducing model, to not touch her, do not allow her in the same room with yourself, ever, even if she lies and says she can cook! That's when you learn about, "I need this ....and ........and .......and .......and....... to provide you with a nice home and well mannered children." This list is non-ending and often repeatable. Very EXPENSIVE!! A down home model is much more affordable and much easier to train to your desires.

Restrain yourself !!

Just checked the Properties on your model. ads.x10.com/x10com/misc1.jpg. See those x10's , do you know what they mean? Uh huh, ten times prettier than you need, ten times more expensive than the down home model, Divorce is ten times more sadistic and costly. Restrain yourself, send her back, freight paid in full. Omit the Return Address or send her to an enemy.
