Last post yanked, (finally succeded at that, must have been racist).

So much for a conservative budget.

We aren't actually fighting a full out war which would demand a 22% or more increase, however we are fighting a full out re election compaign.

Let's see where we stand to today, CFR, passed, Increase in education passed (no vouchers), Amenesty for illegal aliens (about passed), Tax cut, back loaded, Anwr (do Drilling), Flordia (no drilling).

Stand on terriorism, you are with us or against us, yep that one is working to .

Now tell me once again how I didn't waste my vote, for this guy.

And I get so tired about hearing what a great thing it was that GW did with his tax cut. I get a check back for $600 dollars, which doesn't even represent 2% of what my total overall tax burden is, and I'm suppose to jump up and down about how great it is. I don't think so.

I have a better idea. Cut taxes 50% across the board and then we might have a starting point to talk about it.

Kind of makes you wonder what the first 2 trillion was for. If 2 trillion could not buy us safety how will 2.4 trillion? Bush is dead set on being a one term wonder just like his father. Sometimes he reminds me of that guy in high school who tried to make everyone his friend then one day they all turned on him.

I am willing to put up with a lot in domestic politics. I got a tax cut, so that ameliorates a number of "wrongs" on the domestic side (though I've not gotten over the CFR back-track). Still, I'd not like it but I could justify my vote for Bush as a lesser-of-two-evils (I'm not too proud to do that).

But his actions of the last few days in the international arena -- bringing back the Chamberlain era of the 1930's, and spitting on and shredding the Bush Doctrine (the very best achievement of the Bush Administration) in the presence of (and in supplication to) the arch-terrorist Arafat is too much, way, way too much.

I can no longer consider supporting him, this is simply beyond the pale. And it endangers the very existence of our nation and gravely endangers the lives of American citizens and the American homeland. Weakness in the face of aggression simply brings on a much greater war against a much stronger enemy. This is far worse than any action (or inaction) by his father (and I did vote for Bush Sr. twice).

Unless he changes course dramatically in the international arena (back to where he once stood, a few short months ago), I could not consider supporting, or voting for him, again.

I hate to say this, but I think the Federal budget will continue to grow at a similar pace for at least a generation.

The baby boomers are just now starting to qualify for Federal money. Any politician who tries to cut back on their entitlements will be tarred and feathered.

The boomers will make the WW2 generation look like Scrooge in their demands for Federal payments in the form of health care, Social Security, prescription drugs, etc.

A few boomer age FReepers, military vets, and some independent minded souls will work to restore this country to a Constitutional Republic.

However, IMO, the vast majority of my fellow boomers will fight for as much of the Federal trough as they can get.

You guys just don't get it do you. This is just another ploy by GWB to confuse the democrats. Gwb is so far in front of the democrats it's funny. These spending increases will never see the light of day once we get by the 2002 elections. Gwb probably has a 22% across the board spending cut in the wings.

As I have been arguing since 1999, Bush is a closet liberal who is a BIGTIME supporter of Big Government so his indefensible balanced budget busting deficit spending budget which puts liberal pet programs like the Department of Education (which works to education our children in liberalism and sexual promiscuity among other things) and the fascistic AmeriKorps program first comes as no surprise to more seasoned conservative political analysts like myself.
