And I don't have a problem with paying for our safety and security through taxes. But to justify a tax increase for the war on terror entails some action on the governments part. We can start by deporting all of the illegal aliens that are here in the country. And we can follow that up by not letting anymore terrorist into the country, and while were at it let's go ahead and seal off our borders.
When I see those things happening, then I might be ready to pony a little more.
Hmm. Can you buy more freedom by paying more taxes and borrowing more money?
Is there a point of diminishing returns?
Citing the phrase "freedom doesn't come cheap" as justification for an even bigger government than the one we have is, frankly, Orwellian doublespeak.
